Extra Credit Photo

This photo speaks to me because I love all kinds of music. No matter what kind of mood I am in there is always something out there to emphasize my current mood or change it completely. Music also allows me to escape to a different time or place. It can allow you to go back to a memory or an experience in your in life. Music to me also has no boundaries about what you can say and no rules telling you how to write it or dance to it. It allows you to express yourself in any way you chose without any bias. Everyone may not like the music you make or listen too, but the truth still remains that music speaks to all of us in one way or another and at one point or another. To me all these qualities of music bring people together in ways that society has managed to separate us.

Writing Assignment #1

I love how the woman in this picture is showing off her tattoos. In her older age or after years of having her tattoos she does not seem to show any signs of regret or remorse. To me it says she has a story to tell, a life that she lived without worry of what others thought of her decisions. She is proud of who she is and who she has become. I chose this picture not only for the message she is sending with her proud posture, but because this is how I see myself loving my tattoos and decisions in my old age. Besides the judgments that are passed on people with tattoos you often hear that "you are going to regret that when you get older.” Apparently those people don’t know people like the woman in this picture. I feel everyone has their own life and that they should go about living it any way they choose free of prejudices and judgments.
